Mr. John P. Haberle,Jr. (my nick name is Fritz.)send this picture of the Radio Section of the 386th. Field artillery Battalion Headquarters Battery of the 104th. Timberwolf Division. He is the one on the far right back top of picture as you look at the picture.
A reaction about this picture came to us in January 2003. Mr. Richard
Murphy wrote: " My Dad is the officer in the first row, fourth from the right as you look at the picture. His name was Lieutenant John E. Murphy. He used to relate how the section went ahead with the infantry to call in the artillery strikes. At times they flew in small Piper Cub airplanes to scout advanced positions."Meneer John P.Haberle Jr, (mijn bijnaam is Fritz) stuurde deze foto van de Radio Sectie van het 386de Veld artillerie Bataljon Hoofdkwartier Batterij van de 104de Timberwolf Divisie. Hij is degene in de uiterst rechtse achterste rij boven als je naar de foto kijkt.
Een reactie op deze foto kwam in Januari 2003, Men. Richard
Murphy schreef: "Mijn vader is de officier in de eerste rij, vierde van links als je zo naar de foto kijkt. Zijn naam is Luitenant John E. Murphy. Hij vertelde vaak hoe de sectie voor de infanterie uit ging om het artillerie vuur naar bepaalde plaatsen toe te praten. Soms vlogen ze in Piper Cub vliegtuigjes om voorwaartse posities te verkennen."The following pictures are with his own comments
