We were so lucky to receive these great Pictures from Mrs. Bornhofft, wife of
We hadden het geluk deze geweldige foto's te ontvangen van mevrouw Bornhofft, echtgenote van
Timberwolf LT. Henry J. Bornhofft Jr. 414th Reg. 104th Division (later Captain) † 1984 at age 62
Mrs. Bornhofft said:"a photo of my husband, taken before he went overseas. He later received a battlefield promotion to Captain.
My Husband was critically wounded in Halle, hospitalized a total of 3 years in Germany, France, and ultimately in the U.S. Though not without some disability, he made a remarkable recovery. His men met the Russians a few days after he was shot; the division crossed the Elbe, entered Berlin, and the war was virtually over.

Mevr. Bronhofft schrijft:"Een foto van mijn man, genomen voordat hij over zee ging. Later kreeg hij gedurende de gevechten een promotie tot Kaptein.
Mijn man werd kritish gewond in Halle, lag totaal 3 jaar in het ziekenhuis in Duitsland, Frankrijk en uiteindelijk ook nog in de U.S. hij bleef wat gehandicap, Hij herstelde bijzonder goed. Zijn mannen ontmoetten de Russen een paar dagen nadat hij geschoten was; de divisie stak de Elbe over, ging Berlijn binnen, de oorlog was in principe voorbij.

We were very pleased to get the following pictures of Mrs. Sebek, she said: "My father's 81st birthday is Feb. 4th and I was hoping to surprise him by getting his army pictures on your web site. He was a member of the Timberwolf 104th Infantry Division, 415 Regiment 3rd Platoon Company D 1st Battalion.
The first picture is of my father PETE BRATELY and his buddy PAUL GERBASICH 1944 at CAMP CARSON, COLORADO.
The second picture is my father PETE BRATELY home on leave from CAMP ADAIR, OREGON, Nov. 25, 1943."
De tweede foto is mijn vader PETE BRATELY thuis op verlof van KAMP ADAIR, OREGON, 25 Nov. 1943."
